A magnetic neighbourhood
Take old, light industrial and reinterpret it for today. That’s Lichfield. With its neighbourhood of contrasts - old and new, intimate lanes and generous park spaces, loft living and downtown warehouses - connected by lanes that link student communities, the Innovation Precinct and Strange’s Lane.
Encompassing Lichfield, Cashel and Hereford streets, Lichfield Precinct is both green and gritty, urban and well connected with its proximity to Innovation Precinct, SOL Square, Strange’s Lane, Christchurch Polytechnic (Ara) and to the existing Cashel Chambers.
Designed by Architectus, one of two key contributors to the overall Master Plan for East Frame, superlot 7 will be the third space to be developed within the East Frame and the first space within the Lichfield precinct.
Superlot 7 will include a mix of 67 one and two bedroom apartment residences and 18 two and three level terrace homes which surround a shared courtyard and an urban laneway.
Construction is due to commence 2017 with the apartments expected to be completed in late 2018/early 2019.
Lichfield is the most urban of the three precincts. Not only in terms of density, but by the atmosphere experienced. Open spaces and intimate lanes encourage mixing and mingling - essential for a city’s creativity.
